WWII Fletcher-class destroyer USS KIDD (DD-661) has been away from her home in Baton Rouge for over a year now having hull work done in drydock at Thoma-Sea Marine Constructors in Houma, LA. Now, she's entering the home stretch. We have achieved our fundraising goals for the hull repair and are extending the drydock period for a few more weeks to accomplish the most that we can. In Part One of this two-part video, Ship Superintendent Tim NesSmith walks you through a list of work items remaining to be done and why they're important.
