Timofei Dokshizer (trumpet) - Fiddler on the Roof (Bock)

Dokshizer's arrangement of "Fiddler on the Roof." With only the use of his trumpet (no piano, or score), Dokshizer made this arrangement by transcribing the soundtrack from an LP record by ear.

This track is from Dokshizer's "swan song" recording, a CD he made to celebrate his 75th birthday, called Trumpeter on the Roof- Jewish Music. It was recorded in Vilnus, Lithuania in 1997 and features arrangements of Jewish tunes and melodies by Timofei Dokshizer. The orchestra, the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra, is under the direction of Saulius Sondeckis.

I was the US distributor of the recording. All copies have since been sold out. The CD is currently out of print.
