This week we look at the TI IINA301 36-V, High-Speed, Zero-Drift, Voltage-Output, Current-Shunt Monitor with High-Speed, Overcurrent Comparator
This is similar in function to last week's Current Sense Amplifier but with lower voltage and an additional Comparato. Here is a link to las weeks TI Tuesday youtube.com/watch?v=rt2sig1pbTk
The chip is very easy to use and has a low BOM. The addition of the comparator allows easy creation of a limit / alarm mechanism with nothing more than the inclusion of a single resistor.
Unlike the LMP8481, the INA301 does not have a voltage reference to set an output offset but does have the advantage of being able to work high side and low side.
