Léana, a 16-year-old girl, struggles every day with deep insecurities and self-doubts about her appearance. Through her daily life, simple routines like eating, getting ready, and going to school become incredibly overwhelming. Although she pushes herself through a strict diet and intense exercise, nothing ever feels enough. Trapped in this cycle of “bad” lifestyle habits, Léana slowly loses control, until reaching an almost fatal point.

Beyond the Peaks Student Film Festival is a celebration of young filmmakers' creativity. The festival is hosted annually by Mountain Lake PBS to expand opportunities in filmmaking and digital storytelling while creating a platform for creative expression and empowering youth voices.
