Accutronics/Belton make a short reverb tank. The driver module is available for about £74 plus tax. If you can't afford that, and who can with the state of the UK economy where municipal authorities are after your cash, leaving you nothing for food, a person, specifically someone who doesn't have a spring line reverb but would like one, can build this for the minimum of beer tokens. Our reverb is presented as a board and tank only project and it would be up to the individual to fabricate a suitable tidy enclosure.
The Hoofbag designed and built this reverb driver amp initially on a solderless breadboard and then twice more, using the screws on wood method. The blue plastic reverb tank is available on eBay for around £15. It's a gr8 tank with a really nice, authentic sound. It is recommended that the 3 transistor circuit be constructed on a solderless breadboard, to ensure that the user is satisfied with the sound it makes. Or use our screws on wood method as if the results aren't to a user's liking, then the components, not having been soldered, can go back into the constructor's parts storage. The wood breadboard is made from two pieces of wood moulding of the type made by Cheshire Mouldings. The screws are No:4 half inch and washers are BZP to suit No:4. If this item is to be built as a useable music studio device it's strongly recommended that the item be built on Veroboard, Blob Board or similar prototyping circuit board.
