I have often been asked to show some videos of me playing along with friends, so last Monday evening at our weekly practice session, along with fiddler, Robin and melodeon player, Kevin, the three of us being known collectively as "The Three Grumpy Old Men", I videoed ten sets of tunes from our repertoire. We perform together from time to time at local care homes and at "Sight Matters" (formerly: Manx Blind Welfare) as well as playing along with others on a Friday evening at the George Hotel in Castletown.
Set 3 consists of two traditional tunes from the Isle of Man:
Tra Va Ruggit Chreest (When Christ Was Born)
Carval ny Drogh Vraane (Hymn of the Fallen Women) {This was a song based on all the naughty bits of the Old Testament}
