This was an awesome project to work on; Karijini National Park, a view from high above Oxer’s lookout.
While we were there a gentleman stopped me - “I hope you have a permit for that drone!”. Yes, indeed I did!
Working from video stills, I stitched the scene back together in the studio. This was the resulting painting. It now hangs in Perth, Western Australia.
I haven’t painted a landscape quite this extreme since, but it’d be worth having another crack at it…
