Smash Drums doesn’t tiptoe around the idea of realism. This looks like a VR rhythm game that wants big swings, big sound, and big energy. Exploding stages, rock tracks, and a whole lot of arm movement.
As someone who used to play drums, I’m always curious how VR handles something that’s meant to be physical when there’s nothing to actually hit. Could Smash Drums answer that by leaning into spectacle and momentum?
I’m jumping in to see how this feels on PSVR2, how readable the beats are once things ramp up, and whether that rock-first approach makes drumming in VR genuinely satisfying.
