Join me as I transform a Venison door photograph using the gel plate image transfer technique. By printing the image directly onto the gel plate, using a laser copy print, I capture beautiful architectural details and then build layered colour and texture around them.
Through intuitive pulls and transparent layers, the original photo becomes a rich, abstract mixed media artwork — where structure softens, fragments emerge, and each layer adds depth and story.
