Using my Hasselblad 503CW, Kodak Gold 200, Fujifilm 800, and a mystery roll of film, I explore the world of metering for flash in analog film photography. This is using a flash meter, of course. Flash meters can be a lot less cumbersome and liberating than using a digital camera to preview flash levels on set or on location. Flash meters can be intimidating to same, but I try to make them approachable enough by concentrating on very specific things. Following are names of flash meters that you can look for:
Minolta Auto Meter IIIF
Minolta Flash Meter III
Sekonic Flash Master L-358
Sekonic L-508 Zoom Master
Sekonic Flashmate
Hopefully you'll find one to fit your budget! You should be able to. I love these things, and they're SO useful. The flash I'm using in this video is a Flaspoint Streaklight 360 WS.
