My medium format Fujifilm GFX 50s is back on track after the return and repair of my Fuji GF 63mm 2.8 lens. But as I reconsider my decision to try Hasselblad's XCD II 50C, I tackle the recent accusations that megapixel monster cameras like the Sony A7R IV render the medium format camera obsolete. Does equal resolution and the fact that all fields of view in almost all lenses identical render these expensive medium format cameras and medium format photography purely a marketing gimmick?
