Tommy from Rastafari Herbal Gardens has been growing rare and exotic fruits on his farm in Jamaica for 30 years, and this is yet another non native tree that just happens to love growing in Jamaica! The Abiu aka Brazilian Star Apple or Pouteria caimito is a tropical fruit tree in the sapote family (Sapotaceae), originally from the Amazon region of South America, especially Brazil, Peru, Colombia, and Venezuela. It’s prized for its sweet, custard-like fruit and is now cultivated in other tropical areas. This is a crazy unique one, but watch out as it's quite sticky on the skin part of it, and it can stick your lips together! Comment below if you've tried it before,
