In this video, we show you things to do in Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park Colorado. When visiting Rocky Mountain National Park make sure these areas are on your list, Estes Park CO is also worth a stop.
There are so many great things to do in Rocky Mountain National Park, we started our journey off by leaving our travel trailer in Silverthorne Colorado with good friends and we hopped in the Overland truck camper. Our first stop is Estes Park Colorado, where we get lunch at Penolopes Burgers right in downtown Estes Park. The food is awesome and then explore the downtown and watch the Elk in the city, it's pretty wild that the town has so many wild Elk. Of course, we stop at On The Rocks Coffee for the best coffee in Estes Park. That night we found a great off-grid Overland truck camping location for our pop-up truck camper. This spot is super remote and offers epic views.
The next day we head into RMNP and we are lucky to get permits for the Bear Lake corridor. We start the day in Rocky Mountain National Parl with a drive on Old Fall River Road, this dirt road is the original road through the park. Old Fall River Road is not for the faint of heart, there are switchbacks and it's quite narrow, we couldn't believe the National Park allows people to drive it. We make it to the Alpine Visitors Center, the highest national Park visitors center in the United States. After we drive down Trail Ridge Road in Rockey Mountain National Park, the road is beautiful and we head to the Bear Lake corridor. We hike around Bear Lake and then go to Alberta Falls, overall it's a great time visiting Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park Colorado.
