In this video, we explore Crater Lake National Park in Central Oregon. Crater Lake has been on our list for many years. The last two visits to Crater Lake National Park Oregon haven't gone well.
Southern Oregon is a great place to explore. We set up camp, RV boondocking right outside of the National Park crater lake, which makes for an easy commute the next day. In the morning we get a late start and the line to get into Crater Lake is pretty long, our National Parks are getting busy. It's hard to believe that southern Oregon is so diverse, our first stop at crater lake is Cleetwood Cove where we get to hike to the bottom of this volcano and go swimming. Cleetwood Cove trail in Crater Lake National Park is only about 2 miles but it also has almost 2k' of elevation gain. It's definitely worth the hike and Crater Lakes water temps are quite refreshing. Then we make a quick stop at Crater Lake National Park's visitor center before we travel the 45-minute drive to Pinnacles Trail on the southern side of this national park.
