This is Miami-Dade at its wildest! A stolen $80,000 GMC Denali tearing through the streets, flipping trucks, dodging the law, and causing chaos.
Police Report: On August 1, 2024, at approximately 3:00 PM, Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) initiated a routine traffic stop on a black GMC Denali in Miami-Dade County. The vehicle, valued at $80,000, had been reported stolen earlier in the day. When officers attempted the stop, the driver, later identified as Joseph Samuel Gianino, age 35, fled the scene, prompting a high-speed pursuit.
During the chase, Gianino caused significant property damage, including multiple hit-and-runs and overturning vehicles as he weaved through traffic in an attempt to evade capture. The chase spanned several miles, with speeds exceeding 100 mph through residential and commercial areas, putting numerous lives at risk.
FHP officers managed to bring the chase to an end after Gianino lost control of the vehicle. The suspect attempted to flee on foot but was quickly apprehended. Upon arrest, officers confirmed the GMC Denali had been stolen, and Gianino was already on probation for a previous fleeing and eluding offense.
