We headed out to see burns up close, camping just outside the burn zone and watching how something that looks destructive is actually restoring the land.
This trip turned into more than just fire and forest though. Time on the trail with my son always has a way of putting things into perspective. His name is Abraham… but around here, he’s “Hammer.” And there’s a story behind that I’ll never forget.
Sometimes what looks like destruction… is actually the beginning of something new.
