The Ozarks are a tragic beauty. It’s an aesthetic quality often found in art and literature. It evokes a sense of sorrow while also presenting a profound beauty. Do you see it? Do you feel it? The freezing rain crept over the hillside like ghosts of the ancient residents that claimed these lands. But not to run us off. More like a cautious welcome, inviting us in while still demanding respect.
