High in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado lies Animas Forks, one of the most haunting and remote ghost towns in the Rockies. At over 11,000 feet, this abandoned mining town has stood against brutal winters, avalanches, and time itself. But not everything here has been silenced.
This is the story of Elias Dimitri, a prospector who struck gold, vanished without a trace, and may never have left these mountains. Locals whispered of his hidden claim, his betrayal in the saloon, and the night he disappeared into the storm. To this day, travelers and overlanders report strange sounds, ghostly laughter, and the shadow of a man still wandering the ruins.
