This dresser was shown to me by brother and sister Theresa and Danny Kelly in their family farmhouse. They do not know its exact date of production or maker, but believe it has been there for over 100 years. Their parents bought the farmhouse in 1967 from a man called Peter Doyle and the dresser was there.
Originally green, it was last painted about 40 years ago by their brother, and then dabbed with the brush. Their mother, Mary, was very proud of the dresser, and it took centre stage in the kitchen. The large plates and mugs belonged to the Doyle family and, in typical fashion, the drawers contain shoe polish and a clothes brush!
