Please read the full description for more info. This is the second part of a three-part series on basic Gwent strategy in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

Your reward for defeating this opponent is Sigismund Dijkstra, likely your second Northern Realms Spy card.
NOTE: As of v1.04, the leader cards for King of Temeria and Siegemaster have been swapped. That's why my King of Temeria might look like your Siegemaster, if you are confused.

01:40 First match (base deck with no White Orchard cards)
05:52 Second match (base deck; dealing with Torrential Rain and using King of Temeria)
09:38 Third match (base deck; using Commander's Horn to bait Scorch against a weaker unit)
14:00 Fourth match (stronger deck; stealing spies with Decoy and baiting Scorch with strong units)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

CHOOSING TO PLAY

As was the case against the Nilfgaardian Nobleman, King of Temeria will do just fine as a leader card. Put one Impenetrable Fog in your deck (but avoid having it in your hand) and save it for when he busts out his Long Range units. Similarly, Biting Frost is useful against his Blue Stripes Commandos.

You should feel confident if your starting hand looks something like this:
- Commander's Horn
- Either Prince Stennis (Spy) or Dun Banner Medic
- A strong Close Combat (Bond pairs) or Siege lineup
- Decoy if you have it

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

STRATEGY

The round-to-round procedure doesn't need to be as precise as against the Nilfgaardian Nobleman, but it will depend on your starting hand and his opening behavior. In general, expect to concede the first round as usual.

- If you have Prince Stennis, there's no reason not to use it as soon as possible.
- If he doesn't open with Spies, try to bait out his Close Combat Bonds so you won't have to deal with them later on. Don't try too hard to tease out his Long Range Bonds because he likes to hold on to those.
- If you have Decoys, definitely try to extend the round so you can steal his Spies and use them right back.
- If you have a Decoy and Dun Banner Medic, and he plays Spies, you might consider saving your Decoy so you can use Dun Banner Medic twice later on, once to resurrect a Spy if you wish.
- Hold off on your leader card (or Impenetrable Fog) for as long as possible when he plays multiple Dragon Hunters. This is a precaution against Scorch; as long as he holds the highest-strength units on the board, he won't play it and might even pass prematurely in the final round.

Good luck!
