We’re proud to host the water sector’s first 3D concrete printing hub. Wigan wastewater treatment works is home to the trailblazing project which sees vital kit being printed in a matter of hours.

Backed by the Ofwat Innovation Fund, this project aims to develop ‘Water Industry Printfrastructure’ thanks to tech innovators ChangeMaker3D Ltd. In partnership with The Manchester Metropolitan University and Scottish Water we’re able to print a range of equipment including combined sewer overflow chambers which will play an important role in improving water quality by helping to reduce spills from the sewer network.

The hub is also being used to showcase the benefits of this innovative process to other water companies and industries.
