People often assume that the Trinity is a New Testament "Christian" concept that is not found in the Old Testament and was not believed by Jews and Israelites prior to the coming of Christianity. But that's not actually true. There are a number of scripture verses that seem to indicate a plurality in the Godhead, and some fairly interesting hints at the triunity of God. There are multiple passages that clearly indicate that God is more than one person. These are found in Isaiah, Zechariah, Malachi and elsewhere.

Furthermore, in Isaiah 6 the Seraphim cry out "Holy Holy Holy" is Yahweh of Hosts. In Numbers 6 God prescribes a benediction to invoke his name containing a threefold use of the word Yahweh. Eli instinctively knew God was calling Samuel when Samuel came to him three times. Furthermore, the ancient Israelites referred to the Temple of Yahweh by saying ‘This is the temple of Yahweh, the temple of Yahweh, the temple of Yahweh.’

We also see that the Holy Spirit is separate is sent and poured out upon people, yet, He is not referred to as an impersonal force, Rather, personal pronouns are applied to Him implying he is a person.
