We’re following the trail of the Texas Revolution from the hallowed grounds of the Alamo to the birthplace of the Republic at Washington-on-the-Brazos. But the most pivotal moment of the entire war might have happened at a simple fork in the road in what is now New Kentucky Park.
On April 16, 1836, General Sam Houston and the Texas Army reached a massive oak tree known today as the "Which Way Tree." One branch pointed to safety in the United States; another pointed to a collision course with Santa Anna’s army.
In this video we travel from the Alamo, to the Brazos River, to the Which Way Tree and explore the history, the legends, and the decision that led to victory.
