According to biblical scripture, the sudden and instantaneous worldwide mass disappearance of millions of people will occur in an event known as the Rapture. It is also clear from biblical scripture that the only ones who will disappear and ascend into Heaven will be those people who have personally received Jesus Christ and became "born again."

After the rapture event takes place, scripture describes a horrific seven years of global judgment that will strike the earth for all who were left behind after the rapture. J.R. Church and Gary Stearman will speak of this soon approaching event and will make it clear from scripture that this is a real event that will soon happen.
"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord" (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17).

Aside from the plain surface text above (which is enough), God has also encoded the word “rapture” in some very conspicuous places in the old testament.
Using a computer, Israeli scientists and scholars over the past several years have found encoded messages within the text of the Old Testament that appear to tell names, dates and places of events which have come to pass in this generation. It is now a proven scientific fact that these codes could not be there by chance but are of supernatural origin. There is only one source where these codes could have come from. The evidence points directly to God himself. With this in mind, the late bible codes researcher Yacov Rambsel has discovered seventeen amazing codes in seventeen letter intervals from the last eight verses in the first chapter of the book of Genesis , including a code that points to a pre-tribulation rapture of the church.
It is most interesting that Yacov had discovered the word “rapture” in a portion of old testament scripture from Isaiah 26:19-21 that describes a future resurrection of the dead who dwell in the dust as the earth casts out it’s righteous dead. While their souls are already in Heaven, this passage of scripture reveals that their decayed earthly bodies will be re-united with their spirits, as 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 mentioned above reveals.
For good measure, God decided to encode the word rapture in a most unique way in the old testament book of Malachi 3:16-18. In this verse of scripture we read these interesting words …
“Then they that feared (reverenced) the LORD spake often one to another; and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared (reverenced) the LORD, and that thought upon his name. And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.
Clearly, God intends to spare us from going through the tribulation period as clearly pointed out in this scripture. There is great controversy over whether the rapture will occur before, during or after the coming seven years of judgment upon earth known in scripture as the Tribulation. The plain text of scripture does indeed make it clear that it will be before, but for good measure, we can see that God has also encoded the word "rapture" in some most peculiar portions of scripture to demonstrate a pre-tribulation rapture.
