This is my 1921 Hobbs of Henley cutter launch, who shall with luck and support become a teaching vessel in the near future. Her hull restoration is finished, but I need all the financial help I can get for my mate Greg Simpson to finish her interior, to modify and create what needs doing in her power plant, and for me to complete work on her while I am at his yard for visits. When it comes to watercraft, because I am a poor man playing a Rich man's game, I will need all of the help I can get, and your support is appreciated.
When finished, she will feature an extremely high performance, highly efficient and carefully optimized steam power plant like what was once common in small hulls in England and America in the late 1890s when marine engineers like Devine, Hereshoff, Thornycroft, Mosher and others were honing their craft to absolute perfection. She will be a teaching tool on Long Island Sound for my supporters and anyone else who is interested and who wishes to help me keep her in good condition and afloat.
