With a 600 volt power source on a flatcar, we decided it was time to test the traction motors of IND R4 car #825. After thorough testing, we are thrilled to announce they are in very good condition all things considered. This is the first time in history that a subway car has powered itself on the main line of Kingston, New York. We still need to put up a catenary, but it will not be the last!
