My friend Braeden Coughlin, who is now a master New Haven style pizza chef, blessed my house with his food on Sunday so I attempted to prepare a generating station on the dining room table with the historic Harris Corliss engine you may remember from this video: youtube.com/watch?v=i1MsGvYaMWs and the 1891 G E Wright boiler from Newark New Jersey. Sadly, I did not succeed in finishing it and tuning it in time, so the lamp posts were powered via shore-side power. The main engine did run, however.
Young James from Woburn came to help out too.
