I've never played the game on PC, but I'm very familiar with it from the Xbox version. This is also my first time playing/using the scenario function.
I did some testing, and decided for now on Medium settings, with 16x Anisotropic texture filtering force via graphics diver. I don't see an in game setting for it, also I have not idea what medium "edge smoothing" setting is but It looks fine. (I'm guessing 4x MSAA?) High had quite a bit of lag for me in busy places, but medium seems to get a mostly stable 60 frames. I did notice some strange graphic things, like the water looking especially flat, and the frog container looking...weird. I'm not sure how uncompressed sim texture would effect fps. My laptop struggles too much with everything set to high, so medium is fine. ( I could maybe force the max frame rate to 30 via graphics driver, but I'd have to test that a bit more! Plus, I think I'd rather have the extras frames.)
