In this video, I show you how to connect Claude with Power BI Desktop so that when you prompt Claude, it can actually interact with your model and perform actions inside Power BI.
We go step by step through the full setup using Claude Desktop, Power BI Desktop, VS Code, and the Microsoft Power BI MCP server. I show you where the MCP gets installed, how to copy the config, how to connect it inside Claude, and how to check if the connection is working properly.
Once the setup is done, we also test it with a few simple prompts like reading the tables in the model and creating a Total Sales measure automatically.
