The Silk Road is a fascinating and unique UNESCO World Heritage Site. Covering the Chinese, Kazakh and Kyrgyz sections of the enormous and ancient Silk Road trading network, this World Heritage site has a lot of places to visit and things to see and do. Unfortunately we didn't have time for a camel-back trek across the central Asian deserts, so we decided instead to focus on the end of the Silk Road in modern day Xi'an. Enjoy!
