A large observational study found there was a correlation between increased water intake, higher urination output, and a moderate increase in dry eye symptoms. This leads to a discussion that maybe hydration is not the answer to dry eyes as originally thought. Or, is there some nuance to hydration, and the possibility of too much hydration called hyponatremia. This video goes over the possibility of too much hydration causing dry eye issues due to poor tear osmolarity.
