Rupert Murdoch wants to alter the terms of an irrevocable trust to give total control of his family's media empire to only one of his four children: Lachlan Murdoch, his eldest son and chosen heir.
The 93-year-old billionaire media mogul announced earlier this year he would be stepping as chairman of News Corporation, which owns Fox News and the Wall Street Journal.
