In this video, I share the journey behind my artwork Multitasking from a Woman’s Perspective. Using cotton thread, fabric, and acrylic on canvas, I explore the pressures women face in modern society, as they juggle work, caregiving, social life, and self-growth. You’ll see how I use stitching, fabric manipulation, and layered painting to bring this idea to life.
This piece was created for the Time exhibition with From Out of the Blue Studio Gallery and SDA( Surface Design Association). I also talk about my thought process, how the artwork evolved, and the symbolism behind the frayed fabric and multiple limbs.
