Critical Issues Commentary | The Priesthood of Every Believer, Part 8 – To Bind and To Loose @CICministry | Uploaded February 2022 | Updated October 2024, 1 day ago.
The fourth function, binding and loosing, is far more important than many realize. As our first two issues of CIC showed, this is not about binding demons or spirits, but about declaring what is forbidden or permitted under Christ. What is binding for all of us under the New Covenant is what has been bound by Christ and His apostles. In Acts 15 the Jerusalem Council practiced binding and loosing when they determined that gentile believers were not bound by the law of Moses.
