It is a wild winter day here in Northern Michigan! We started the morning with a quick vet update for Memphis. She’s doing great, and we are prepping for her upcoming bloodwork to keep a close eye on her liver levels. With an ice storm warning in effect and temperatures expected to drop to 5°, we made sure the generator was ready and the pantry was stocked. Life is short, make memories with your dogs—even if it’s preparing for a blackout!
To keep things festive despite the weather, we headed into the kitchen to bake some DIY candy cane dog treats! These red and green holiday snacks feature mint and cranberry, and the girls absolutely loved the crunchy results. The day took a turn when we went to get new tires for the Jeep and returned to a house with no power! Kira was definitely not a fan of the quiet house without her favorite fan blowing. Luckily, the lights came back on just in time for game night and dinner. It’s never a dull moment with three Siberian Huskies in the house!
