On September 15th, a very special physical release comes along; one that I am so happy to see existing in the world! It is a 2 hour, 2 cassette set put together by the wonderful Red Light Studio in Greece, which features 15 tracks hand picked from the first 105 releases of The Owl and 1 brand new one specially made for this, which makes up something of a 'Selected Ambient Works' style release; but, all 15 of them have been 'refreshed', remastered, some with slight edits, and one track is actually 2 combined, so, this is essentially all new. Here is the making of those two tapes.
The two pieces of music in the video are 'Oh, Sweet Catharsis' and 'Nightfall In A Frostbitten Sahara Desert'; one track from each tape, which is intended as a 'warm part' and a 'cold part', hence the different artwork over the two tapes.
