In this video I show how I was able to very successfully restore faded and sun-baked plastic headlights.
The first step was to wet sand the plastic with 4 steps of sand paper. I started with 400 grit and then went to 800, 1500 and 3000. After the sanding I polished the headlights with a plastic specific polish called Plastx. The polishing brought out excellent clarity in the plastic and made them look like new. Finally, I coated the headlights with a UV coating which seems to add even more clarity to the plastic.
Overall the job was an incredible success.
