In this video I attempt to fix a faulty factory cd player radio head unit in my 2005 Toyota 4Runner. This head unit does play cds just fine. The problem it's having is when you try to eject a cd. The eject function isn't working properly and ends with a misaligned cd. I was able to remove the radio and disassemble it on the bench AND realign the problem disc. After reinstallation the cd player worked great except for the eject function. I removed the head unit once again and tried to clean the roller with compressed air.
In the end, the eject function still does not work but at least it plays cds for now. I may have to either disassemble even further or just simply replace the head unit.
