PLEASE READ: (Lyrics & dialogue below) A better audio (extended) version of the newly unblocked song of this is now up! :) Here is the link to watch: youtube.com/watch?v=d5w4NZIju4o by request for Bethany L – song is from a live concert – (the song on CD was blocked worldwide on Youtube, and this is all that would work) – I added filters, etc, also tried to make it stereo (instead of the original mono it was) - to improve sound quality. My 1st attempt at something like that - it sounds great on my speakers – I hope it does for you too. :) If one day the CD version should become unblocked, I'll redo this using that (like I did with PotO for WT’s Truth Beneath the Rose, which had same situation – a song I used live because original was blocked worldwide - after years of being blocked on YT, one day it was suddenly allowed, {a few months after I did the live one- lol}- and I immediately redid the vid). Also, I had to end song before it finished, because of someone in audience yelling and applause that followed, but I tried to make ending work…it’s just too beautiful a song not to do and so perfect for Jamie and Claire, so I did what I could to fulfill this request. :) …The lyrics are deep and can be taken different ways. This is what they mean for my story vid (mostly told in Claire’s POV, a bit in Jamie’s)- basically Claire is remembering, hears/sees the sea, and wants/is drawn to Jamie, aching to be with him again, recalling the times they had to part. The “Music” including all references to dancing & singing is symbolic of their passion. When it says they left the music behind that is when they had their first real fight and were struggling to get back to one another. “The old ways are lost” and “you were like a bird in a cage spreading its wings to fly”- Scotland as it once was, before Culloden, (and how it will never be again), why he is sending Claire away, and Jamie knowing he must go back, fight and die there. As he's talking to her, clips show what Claire is thinking as he's speaking- i.e.- when he says there's nothing for her, she's thinking contrary to his words that there is something- a life with him. Overall: the life she had with Jamie is calling her back to Scotland, back to his time, and back to him. Green/ Scotland…Blue/ the sea…Gold/ the passion/flame.
