Nose angle is one of the most common distance killers in disc golf.
And most players are taught to fix it the same way: grip tweaks, “pour the coffee,” and hope naturally becomes a non-issue with good form.
In this video, I make the case for teaching supination as a legitimate and necessary tool for controlling nose angle—especially for players who have solid fundamentals but still struggle with nose-up releases.
Supination isn’t new.
Every other throwing sport relies on forearm rotation to control angle, spin, and speed. Tennis teaches pronation. Baseball trains forearm bias. Disc golf is the outlier.
This isn’t a beginner shortcut or a replacement for good form.
It’s a crucial piece that helps many players finally present the disc nose-down at release.
