This is likely road number 5 to the Blue Lagoon since early 2024 when the first eruptions flowed over the highway. We see a part of the last Blue Lagoon road in this video but the amount of lava during the last eruption was more than usual so the Blue Lagoon carpark is under lava. This latest version of the road might not exist in a few days since the next eruption could take place anytime now. This was shot February 8th and i just arrived to the south yesterday to get the so-called before-footage. I will stay in the south for a few more days so i might capture the next eruption on film shortly after it starts.
