The third and final day of our Oregon BDR motorcycle riding adventure was filled with scenic views, beautiful mountain lakes, and a ton of off road motorcycle riding, including some stressful backtracking at the end when we failed to find a suitable motorcycle camping site on literally the 4th of July.
Spending 3 days riding the ORBDR on motorcycles was a blast, but it wasn't without challenges. After a great night motorcycle camping at the end of day 2, we headed out to finish Oregon BDR section 5 with a stop for lunch in Detroit before immediately proceeding on to Oregon BDR section 6. Section 6 has some of the most beautiful mountain lakes on the route, and we barely missed out on a fantastic motorcycle camping site at Summit Lake when we hesitated 2 minutes too long making a decision whether to stop and camp or keep our Oregon BDR motorcycle riding trip rolling.

We finished ORBDR section 6 and dipped our toes into Oregon BDR section 7 just long enough to ride part of Bennet Pass and check out the epic views of Mt. Hood before backtracking to find a motocamping site at a lower elevation. We lucked out and got one of the last spots at Clear Lake and had a very restful night of moto camping.
