Odell Beckham Jr.’s iconic one-handed touchdown catch took place on November 23, 2014, during a Sunday Night Football matchup between the New York Giants and the Dallas Cowboys.
At the start of the second quarter, Giants quarterback Eli Manning executed a play-action fake and threw a deep 43-yard pass down the right sideline toward the end zone. Beckham, then a rookie, was tightly covered by Cowboys cornerback Brandon Carr, who committed a pass interference foul by grabbing Beckham's jersey and pulling him off balance.
Despite being heavily fouled and falling completely backward out of bounds, Beckham tracked the ball over his head. He leaped into the air, fully extended his right arm backward, and snagged the football at its highest point using only his thumb and two fingers. He maintained total control of the ball through extreme horizontal extension, gripping it securely while parallel to the ground, and managed to land cleanly in the end zone for a touchdown.
