In 2008, a group of Anonymous hackers had an evil plan that would bring them incredible wealth and power. They would hack into some Facebook accounts, and post a seemingly safe link for the account holder’s friends and family to click on.
Once the unexpecting user clicked on the link, they would be prompted to download a Flash update, which would instead infect their device with a computer worm.
The worm, also known as Koobface, would use the infected device to spam more links on every social media site, in an attempt to create an army of zombie computers that would do their bidding.
