Merulanella sp. tricolor is a beautiful Isopod! It is fairly new in the isopod hobby, and is popular for its absolutely beautiful color and pattern. Some isopods (such as Armadillidium gestroi and A. maculatum appear to be Batesian mimics of millipedes. I wonder if Merulanella sp. ‘Tricolor’ is a Batesian mimic as well?
