WWE Atrocity takes a look at some of the WWE / WWF's more questionable decisions throughout their history, and this time we're looking at (what I think is) the worst episode of WWF Raw during the Monday Night War era.
This episode, airing in April 1997, was presented as a simulcast. Matches were presented from Muncie, Indiana and other matches came from Johannesburg, South Africa. Both set of matches were taped, and bouts included Hunter Hearst Helmsley vs Jesse James, Savio Vega vs Rocky Maivia, and a main event that pitted Ahmed Johnson against Crush.
It's been widely reported that this awful show made Vince McMahon completely change his writing team, and the WWF wouldn't be the same again after this episode of Raw aired on TV.
