SmackDown Xtreme was a special episode of WWF Smackdown airing on February 1st 2001. The show was used to promote the beginning of the new XFL season and also as a promotional gimmick due to stiff competition from other networks on this particular night, so let's check it out and see how "XTREME" the WWF really got. There's a tables match, a first blood match and a WWF title match in this show, the main event was originally supposed to feature The Rock getting a shot at Kurt Angle's WWF title, however Triple H manages to interject himself into the match.
