If a Waste Management rear loader in Southern Cali isn't rare enough, try a Volvo ..... WG! Quite out of place one might think, as Volvo WGs have really only been seen as refuse trucks in the Mid-West and East Coast. Originally from up in the Napa Valley, LA Hauling received this truck around a decade ago and served as the frontline bulk truck until they received a new ACX/CNG McNeilus. This truck has been nicknamed "The Monster" by many of the employees down at WM-LA, due to its powerful diesel engine (last diesel garbage truck in the yard, I believe!) and ability to pack away at piles of bulk with no problem whatsoever. Unfortunately, this truck will probably not last until next years' county cleanups, unless a new rear loader doesn't come in by then or there are no major problems with its engine.
Enjoy "The Monster" as its crushes furniture and piles of junk at the Del Aire Tuesday route county cleanup!
I should also mention this is only part 1 ;)
