Easily one of my favorite trucks filmed to date, one among many beautiful classic trucks in Sunshine Disposal's Lewiston yard. Last summer Alan, Bryn and I took a trip out to the western most edge of Idaho to a route where it was nearly impossible to find a truck that wasn't somehow enjoyable. This MSL was just one of at least 6 trucks we filmed that day.
One of the reasons I like this truck so much is obviously the Cummins L10(?) engine. Alan uploaded his footage of this truck awhile back and briefly explained the situation of the L10 engine not syncing up with this generation of Peterbilt. Pretty much any classic diesel powered L10 is music to my ears, most being defined by the common screaming belts above the deep growl. I believe most of LA City's 310s had L10s which definitely makes the engine noise nostalgic. I do believe that the rims, exhaust, and engine on this truck make it much more of a 310 than it is a 320, which is pretty cool in my opinion. If you listen closely, even the air brakes will bring back memories for a few of you.
