Thanks to everyone who took part in the group read of Thomas Hardy's Mayor of Casterbridge. Here's a bit of a review of the novel and round up of the shared read. No real spoilers if you haven't read the book yet.

The thumbnail shows the cottage in Bockhampton near Dorchester where Hardy grew up. It now belongs to the National Trust so it is well cared for and has a beautiful garden.
